“This is a bridge to economic power,” said Keona Owens, Founder & Executive Director

of Touch Gift Foundation. “The co-LAB-oratory Training Institute exists to create access,

restore dignity, and open doors to wealth-building opportunities. We’re building

pathways where education, creativity, and workforce readiness intersect—so our

community can grow, own, and thrive.”

“Having worked alongside Keona and Touch Gift Foundation since 2019, I’ve seen what

intentional, community-centered leadership can build,” said Laisha McDaniel, CEO of

LLF-Consulting, LLC. “The co-LAB-oratory Training Institute is a launchpad for

economic mobility. Through career readiness and leadership development, this space

will help individuals build sustainable careers and lasting futures.”

“The co-LAB-oratory Training Institute is designed as a full ecosystem, not a

collection of programs,” said Bevon Joseph, Founder of Bevon’s Mentee Network.

“Working in partnership with Keona Owens and her bold, community-rooted vision,

our work through Bevon’s Mentee Network and the Digital Learning Lab is deeply connected to everything else happening in the building, education, workforce pathways, creative production, and community resources. That level of intentional integration is what turns access into agency and skills into sustainable income.”

A Community-Driven Wealth Vision

Since its founding in 2018, Touch Gift Foundation has served hundreds of thousands of

individuals across Chicagoland through education, outreach, and workforce initiatives.

The co-LAB-oratory Training Institute is the next evolution of that work—rooted in

collaboration, accountability, and love in action, with a clear focus on helping communities build sustainable wealth and long-term security.
