Touch Gift Foundation Expands Grow with Google Career Certificate Scholarship Program to Accelerate Workforce Transformation and Bridge the Digital Divide


Touch Gift Foundation, NFP® (TGF™) is expanding its Grow with Google Career Certificate Scholarship Program, reinforcing bold solutions to increase access to high-demand career pathways while actively addressing the digital divide across Chicago.

As the tech and digital landscape continues to rapidly evolve, equitable access to relevant skills and career-aligned training remains a critical barrier in many communities. TGF™ is responding by providing individuals with direct access to industry-recognized, in-demand career certifications through a flexible, independent, self-paced learning model designed for real-world success.


Selected participants receive 90 days of access to complete certifications in high-growth fields, including IT Support, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Project Management, UX Design, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce, and Business Intelligence; equipping them with the tools to compete in today’s workforce.


This initiative connects digital access to career activation, creating real pathways to employment and advancement.


“At Touch Gift Foundation, we recognize that the digital divide is not just about access to technology, it’s about access to opportunities while building skills,” said Keona Owens. “Through our continued expansion of the Grow with Google Career Certificate Scholarship Program, we are intentionally positioning our community to build digital fluency, gain industry-relevant skills, and fully participate in today’s workforce.


Participants complete the program independently, with a recommended weekly commitment to finish within 90 days. The program combines self-paced flexibility with structured expectations, accountability, and ongoing follow-up to ensure progress and completion.


This initiative is part of TGF™’s broader commitment to closing equity gaps, increasing workforce participation, and building sustainable economic mobility across the communities it serves.
