A Recap of the Create. Design. Experience Series – Father's Day Edition
Father's Day gifts have a reputation. Socks. Ties. A last-minute gas station card. But on Sunday, June 7, 2026, a room full of thoughtful, creative people chose differently — and the results were stunning.
The Create. Design. Experience Series – Father's Day Edition took place at the TGF™ co-LAB-oratory Training Institute (CTI), Suite 217–218, 640 E. 79th Street, Chicago, IL 60619 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Hosted by Julia Hudson and Rachael Turner in partnership with Rosemint Media, this high-energy, hands-on workshop gave attendees everything they needed to create a one-of-a-kind Father's Day gift — personal, memorable, and made entirely by them.
What Went Down
From the moment attendees walked in, the energy was set. Music playing, good vibes flowing, light refreshments on deck, this wasn't your average workshop. It was a full experience.
With only 30 seats available, the room was intentionally intimate, allowing for real hands-on support and step-by-step guidance throughout the entire two hours. Participants were introduced to Canva, one of today's most accessible and powerful design platforms, and used those freshly learned skills to design and create their very own 20oz custom tumbler to take home the same day.
No design background. No creative experience. No problem. Every seat in that room was equipped with access to design elements, templates, and hands-on creative support to bring each person's vision to life.

Why This Mattered
In a world full of Amazon carts and two-day shipping, there's something deeply meaningful about making something with your own hands. The Father's Day Edition of the Create. Design. Experience Series wasn't just a workshop, it was an invitation to slow down, get creative, and connect with the act of giving in a more intentional way.
Watching someone design something from scratch for the first time — picking their colors, choosing their words, seeing it all come together on a tumbler they're about to hand to their dad — that's the kind of moment this series was built for.
Gifts purchased are forgotten. Gifts created are kept forever.
The Team Behind the Experience
This event was brought to life by Julia Hudson and Rachael Turner, powered by Rosemint Media and presented under the umbrella of the TGF™ co-LAB-oratory and the Touch Gift Foundation, an organization dedicated to impacting lives and building community through creative, meaningful experiences.
Their vision was clear: give people the tools, the space, and the support to create something real. And on June 7th, they delivered exactly that.
What's Next
The Create. Design. Experience Series isn't a one-time thing. This is a movement, a commitment to creating spaces where everyday people can tap into their creativity, learn new skills, and walk away with something tangible and lasting.
