During Black History Month, Ladies of Virtue hosted its annual LOV Day, a growing initiative designed to celebrate, affirm, and empower Black girls. What began in 2021 in Chicago has now expanded to reach girls in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., creating a national movement centered on love, confidence, and community.
Touch Gift Foundation was proud to contribute items to support this year’s effort, helping provide meaningful resources for girls participating in the celebration.
In 2026, 700 LOV Day boxes were distributed across three cities, helping reach nearly 1,200 Black girls through box distributions, confidence-building experiences, and wellness-centered programming such as Black Girls Rest: The Ultimate Health & Wellness events.
The day also included a powerful volunteer effort at Carter G. Woodson School, where 61 volunteers from 25 companies, including Northwestern Medicine and the Chicago Bears, came together to assemble LOV Day boxes filled with care and intention.
Each box carried a simple message for the girls receiving them:
You matter. You are supported. You belong.
Girls also experienced the Hall of Virtue, a powerful installation highlighting twelve affirmations — including Love, Dignity, Purpose, Faith, and Joy — reflecting the values poured into young girls through mentorship and community support.
Touch Gift Foundation is honored to support initiatives like LOV Day that uplift young people and reinforce the importance of community care, empowerment, and opportunity for the next generation.
